CLASSIC
Timeless beauty.
You know,
the interplay of black and white.
Elegant marble
white with black veining ...
or chippy ...
a reno waiting to
spread it's wings.
I LOVE IT ALL!
Whether in
a French kitchen
or traditional
London front entry ...
black and white
plays so well together.
A closer look?
SURE!
Every morning I pass
these front entries.
Similar?
YES
But also a chance to express
individuality
On point
More contemporary
Checkerboard
thin black banding
limited checkerboard
wider white banding
and below?
The railing continues ..
to wooden door with
black overhang.
But it's not always
JUST
black and white ...
OMG!
It's turquoise in LONDON!
Even when the entry is the same
you can personalize
the color or knocker
on your door.
Sorry to depart from
JUST
Black and White
but,
This must be the future flat
of the Pink Princess!
Hugs and encouraging you to notice the small things around you today!

Great post! I lived in England for 4 years when I was in my early twenties. Oh, If only I had appreciated it like I would now!!!

Oh my goodness, I love those doors and porches and railings. Wonder when I can go see them for myself? It won't be many hours and you will be back here at home. I'm going later today or tomorrow to fluff your 'flat', feed and chat with Mr. Rusty Cat and water some plants. And leave a little surprise somewhere for you to fin when you return. Can't believe your vacation is nearly over. Hugs to the Pink Princess and Mr. S. ~Adrienne~

I have black and white tiles in our foyer and thought it's a nightmare to keep clean I love it. That turquoise door is perfect with all the black. I have a wall in our foyer that's that color. It makes me happy everytime I see it!
