Chippy
Rusty
White
Yeah -
that describes some of the
"treasure bits" that I lugged
home from London.
Cool lion door knocker, huh!
Not a lot of white -
but I LOVE him!
doll bits
tiny antique cups and saucers
delicate linen measuring tape
french beaded flowers
french jars
mmmmm.....
I wish I had another suitcase
--and the strength to carry --
and I would have bought the
WHOLE BOX of JARS!!
not white,
but aren't the keyhole guards dreamy, too?
(do they have a "real" name??)
chippy old door hardware
who realized I bought the same bits
at THREE markets??
Guess I'm consistent!
These will all be for
art-y projects ....
Like this
PERFECT
clock face.
Perfect for a holiday project.
But also perfect for
"just looking at".
In case it's not done for
THIS Christmas ....
Just sayin'
NO PRESSURE!
Several of the bits
are now "living"
in the cubbies in my
dining room.
They have joined other
white pals ...
like the small
ironstone creamer
at Tarte barn ...
Who else is there?
This and that.
Bits and pieces pulled together.
No real plan --
They just make me smile!
Hugs and hoping you have many occasions to smile today!

Gotta love white and chippy, next to pink , the very best! I also bought a box with 20 old door knobs! Maybe that says something about my psyche (is that how you spell that)spell check says yes...Maybe it means I need to get going??

Love your souvenirs...all of 'em! I really love the french jars...too bad you didn't bring home the whole box. I would have bought some from you. They are Fab U Lous!
ReplyDeleteAre you ready for your big word of the day? Escutcheons...that's a fancy schmancy word for keyhole plates and that concludes today's lesson.

Ohhhh, I love all your little "bits" and pieces of white. And your cubby is the perfect show-off place. Love those white French bottles. What were they used for? They are gorgeous!

I am loving your bits! And knowing they were found across the ocean makes them even better.

ReplyDeleteWould you just bring it all home already!!!!
ReplyDeleteHope to see you soon

We'll need to get a job in Customs...people carrying these kind of treasures will never make it to the other side...we'd confiscate everything!!!! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, seems like just the other day there were teacups galore filling the cubbies in your dining room. Where did they all go? And now you have such cute treasures there. Ooooh, I get to see them for real in just a few hours! Can't wait. ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteLoving all your great white chippiness! Thanks for sharing and I hope you had a great trip.
