Pink Pedal Pushers .... Part One

I've been thinking of this

YEP!

Much more exercise than this

And much less hauling capacity than this:

(For a little pink love
from a prior post go

So why?

Cause I want to have
THESE!

A little explanation about the difference between
pedal pushers and capris?

(and remember clam diggers?)

Go HERE

Who wouldn't want
PINK PEDAL PUSHERS?

More importantly,
who knew that Carl Perkins
wrote the
quintessential
song about them?

(and you thought his only
foray into fashion was
Blue Suede Shoes?)

I wasn't listening to
Rockabilly in the 50's

but here goes ...

Well, she goes struttin' down the street In her sofisticated style
The way she's dressed was a knocking 'em wild
The cats started gazing till they called her out
Her pink pedal pushers was a-knocking 'em out
She wears a-pink pedal pushers, pink pedal pushers
Her pink pedal pushers has made her the queen of them all

She goes drivin' down the street in her brand new car
The cats started gazin' from near and far
She don't cause commotion till she steps outside
The cats get hep and holler, ooh-ooh man alive!

She's wearin' pink pedal pushers, pink pedal pushers
Pink pedal pushers has made her the queen of them all!

And just what would a
QUEEN
wear to
push those pink pedals?
Hugs and Happy Pink Saturday ---  and here's to having PINK KICKS of all kinds!!
Sammy Girl

Pink Saturday - Pink Carnation - lol!

This isn't about
either
a pink carnation
OR
a white sport coat.

Time out for a flashback moment ...
Old timers you'll remember the song ...
youngsters
there's youtube!

And yes, I remember the performer,
but NOT old enough for this performance, lol!

It's about being
IN LOVE.

In love with a
pink truck.
Well
he's not available.

I met this cutie from
Michigan.

While not bubble gum pink ...
he's definitely channeling the pink vibe!
And in this pic he's visiting a retirement center.

*Sigh*

The volunteer spirit touches my heart.

But it would clearly be
strictly a rebound relationship.

Maybe I should give up on the
farm boy and go with
something with a little more
classic rock and roll ...

You know ...
Jerry Lee and the boss ...

"I love you for your pink Cadillac"

Mmmm ...

Maybe this hot little number ...

Deby
from Apples of Gold

Well --

How about
construction workers?

(insert your own joke about
construction workers being studs ...)
Yep!
That's a
pink cement mixer!

Something about a pink cement mixer ...
shows his confidence!

Still not right.

Soft spot for those
military types?

Always ready to serve the cause.
The Hummer -- Maybe!

Perhaps a good ol' boy.
like a Ford Ranger ...

But if we're
BACK
to a pick-up ....

Maybe a little of this ...

(ok, maybe a lot!)

to turn
THIS

into my love.

Anyone up for a project?

Give me a call ...
1-800-946-5227*

that's

1-800 pinkcar .... lol!

Oh, and the
title of the post?

If we ALL drove these rigs ...

wait for it ...

We'd be living in a

no groans, please ...

Pink Car Nation!

Hugs and have a pinkalicious Saturday!

Truck update ...

This truck is a celebrity.
It undoubtedly needs a fan club
and probably a twitter account.

The latest word is that the owner is apparently from Oakridge, Oregon.

Who cares about a pink cadillac ....
a truck is MUCH BETTER for thrifting and junking!

I feel like a stalker.
Friends are sending me updates.

Kinda like high school all over again.
(Hmmmm not so much -- we didn't have cell phones OR the internet)
OK -- so maybe a passed note saying the object of your affection was just spotted coming out of study hall.

In my defense, even Mr. Sammy Girl thinks the truck is AWESOME.

Isn't lust one of the seven deadly sins?

I confess.

I understand that not everyone cares as much about pink as I do.
And perhaps a truck isn't YOUR dream drive.

How about something in a brilliant blue?
